Israeli occupation forces launched a large-scale campaign of raids and arrests across various areas of the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem early Monday morning. The campaign was accompanied by confrontations and armed clashes in Nablus and Jenin.
The raids targeted dozens of homes, which were searched extensively while residents were detained and subjected to on-site interrogations. In the town of Ya'bad in Jenin, 22 Palestinians were arrested as Israeli forces turned one of the homes into a military outpost.
In Nablus, Palestinian resistance fighters engaged in armed clashes with Israeli forces in Balata refugee camp and the eastern part of the city. The Al-Quds Brigades – Nablus Battalion and Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades claimed responsibility for the confrontations, involving gunfire and explosive devices.
Meanwhile, Palestinian teacher Nafisa Ibrahim Al-Hout was arrested at the "Za’ayyim" military checkpoint east of Jerusalem. Her detention has been extended until Thursday.
Tensions also escalated in Dheisheh refugee camp in Bethlehem and Qibya village near Ramallah, where several young men were arrested amid widespread condemnation from Palestinian human rights organisations.
