An investigation by Haaretz has unveiled shocking testimonies from soldiers of the “Israeli occupation” who admitted to executing unarmed Palestinian civilians near the “Netzarim Axis” in southern Gaza City. Soldiers recounted orders to shoot anyone approaching the area, including women and children, under the justification that “there are no civilians here.”
One soldier described being ordered to kill a boy after confirming he was unarmed. An intelligence review later revealed the boy had no connections to resistance activities. Another account detailed the killing of Palestinians waving white flags in surrender—orders to disregard the flag as a civilian signal came directly from senior officers.
The report also highlighted the use of advanced weaponry, such as anti-tank missiles and helicopter strikes, against unarmed civilians. In one instance, three Palestinians were killed and a survivor was detained, stripped, and caged before being interrogated at gunpoint. The survivor was eventually released.
The investigation exposed a “sadistic culture” within the “Israeli occupation” military, where units competed to record higher death tolls. Senior commanders, such as Yehuda from Kiryat Arba, dismissed international laws of war, labelling all Gazans as “terrorists.”
This evidence underscores systemic impunity and the dire need for accountability. Despite these atrocities, Gaza’s northern population continues to resist forced displacement and the ongoing onslaught of the “Israeli occupation.”
