International Media: The Planned Overlook of Israel’s Violations of Palestinian Rights is a Grave Deviation

International media outlets have been widely reporting on the catastrophic conditions in Gaza and the West Bank, yet the global community has chosen to turn a blind eye to Israel's ongoing violations of Palestinian rights.

Foreign Policy magazine has drawn attention to the world’s consistent disregard for Israel's actions, despite the clear warnings from international and regional organisations with established reputations for integrity.

The article argues that this deliberate overlooking is a dangerous shift, cautioning that if the international community continues to ignore the reports from respected human rights and humanitarian organisations, humanity as a whole will suffer—Palestinians not being the only victims.

In an article for the New York Times, Khaled Aljundy, a researcher at the Middle East Institute, described the situation for Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank as catastrophic, as a result of Israel's brutal practices. However, he also noted sources of hope, such as the international movements supporting Palestinians and advocating for their rights, including the global solidarity movement. Aljundy pointed to the historical records documenting the resilience of Palestinians, seeing these as signs of a better future, despite the depth of the current crisis.

In contrast, an analysis in Haaretz warned that the Israeli military's actions in Gaza are closely aligned with the extremist ideological agenda of Israel’s right wing. It added that “the army’s achievements in Gaza and elsewhere will not resolve the root issue—the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the ongoing wars it causes.”

The Washington Post reported that life in northern Israel is slowly returning to normal following the ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah. However, the paper noted that only 20% of the 60,000 displaced people had been able to return home.

Meanwhile, the French website "Mediapart" has published an investigation from Idlib, Syria, focusing on women’s roles and activities in the city. The site shared testimonies from women who expressed their joy at the societal changes and their willingness to contribute to rebuilding Syria’s future.
