A medical source in Gaza reported that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli military operation in northern Gaza, now in its 100th day, has reached 5,000, including those still missing. The source added that more than 9,500 people have been injured, with varying degrees of severity, during this period of relentless air and ground attacks targeting civilian areas in the region.  

The source emphasized that the healthcare situation in Gaza is deteriorating rapidly as the military operations continue. Hospitals are suffering from a critical shortage of medical equipment and essential supplies due to the ongoing blockade. Many of the injured are in critical condition, while the overstretched healthcare system struggles to meet their needs in dire circumstances.  

This comes as the humanitarian crisis in Gaza worsens, with severe shortages of food and water, coupled with extensive destruction of vital infrastructure, leaving the population in a state of deep distress.
