Military expert Colonel Hatem Al-Falahi stated that Israel continues to destroy infrastructure and homes in the northern West Bank, preparing to take control of the area and displace its residents.
In an analysis for Al Jazeera, Al-Falahi added that the Knesset's preliminary approval of a bill facilitating the purchase of land by Israelis in the West Bank confirms the occupation's plans to annex it.
According to the military expert, the "Iron Wall" operation launched by Israel in the northern West Bank 9 days ago is still in its early stages, involving a large and diverse number of troops.
Israeli forces are working to establish checkpoints in Jenin and Tulkarem, continuing to search and destroy homes and roads to prevent the region from becoming a new Gaza, as Al-Falahi explained.
However, the occupation lacks substantial intelligence about resistance factions in the West Bank, which explains the ability of these factions to carry out operations and engage in confrontations despite the ongoing military campaign.
The expert further noted that these factions do not possess the same combat tools as the resistance in the Gaza Strip, with their weapons limited to hit-and-run operations, light weapons, and locally made explosives.
