An elderly man was martyred on Sunday morning after being shot by Israeli occupation forces in the Jenin refugee camp, in the northern occupied West Bank, as the Israeli assault continues for the 13th consecutive day.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society stated in a brief announcement that its teams transported a 70-year-old martyr from the entrance of the Jenin refugee camp to the hospital.
The Ministry of Health confirmed the martyrdom of 73-year-old Walid Mohammed Ali Lahlooh, who was shot by Israeli forces in the camp.
With this, the death toll in Jenin governorate has risen to 25 martyrs since the start of the Israeli assault 13 days ago.
The occupation continues to deploy military reinforcements to Jenin city and its refugee camp through the Al-Jalama military checkpoint, while demolition operations persist in several neighborhoods of the camp.
Israeli forces have forced residents of Al-Safa building to evacuate their homes, turning it into a military outpost.
It is worth noting that approximately 100 homes have been completely demolished in the Jenin refugee camp. Meanwhile, hospitals in the city are facing a severe water shortage due to Israeli attacks targeting and destroying water supply lines, leaving around 35% of the city's population without access to water.
