Heavy Rain and Strong Winds Flood the Tents of Thousands of Displaced People in Gaza

Hundreds of tents sheltering thousands of displaced people have flooded, and others have been torn apart due to heavy rainfall and strong winds in various areas of the Gaza Strip.

The displaced individuals were forced to spend the night outdoors, enduring the bitter cold and winds that tore apart what remained of their tattered tents, rendering them unsuitable to protect the residents in such harsh conditions.

The heavy rains that fell on the Gaza Strip's governorates have exacerbated the suffering of tens of thousands of citizens whose homes were destroyed in the Israeli genocidal war, as a weather front hits Palestinian territories.

The displaced face harsh conditions, enduring freezing cold and strong winds, as thousands of people live in tents made of nylon and thin fabric, which lack basic protection from rain and storms.

Those who returned to the northern part of Gaza face difficulties setting up and securing their tents, given the unfavorable weather conditions, as well as a severe shortage of food supplies and a lack of heating materials.

Citizens whose homes were destroyed by the occupation's crimes and massacres are living on roads, in sports fields, public squares, and schools, without any means to protect themselves from the cold and storms.

The fuel shortage worsens the crisis, as families find themselves unable to secure any means of heating with the drop in nighttime temperatures.
