During His Visit to Brussels, Hind Rajab Foundation Demands the Arrest of the Israeli Foreign Minister "Sa'ar"

The Hind Rajab human rights organization has called for the arrest of Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar during his upcoming visit to the Belgian capital, Brussels.

Belgian human rights activist Dyab Abou Jahjah, founder and president of the Hind Rajab Foundation, referenced the recent complaint filed with the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague against Sa’ar, accusing him of "complicity in genocide in the Gaza Strip."

Regarding the possibility of Sa’ar’s arrest in Brussels, Abou Jahjah stated:
"If the ICC issues an arrest warrant or perhaps it has already issued one and announces it on the day Sa’ar arrives in Brussels Belgium will be obligated to arrest him."

He added: "Belgium has no choice but to arrest him. If it fails to do so, it will be violating international law."

Abou Jahjah explained that even if the European Union provides security guarantees, Sa’ar could still be arrested at his hotel in Brussels, as he would be within Belgian jurisdiction.

He further remarked: "I believe that war criminals should not travel freely and without concern."

Abou Jahjah also recalled that Sa’ar had denied the existence of Palestine during the Munich Security Conference, held from February 14 to 16, a statement that was widely reported by Hebrew media outlets.
