The Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced that the bodies of Israeli prisoners Yitzhak Idan, Itzik Grits, Ohad Yahalomi, and Shlomo Mansour would be handed over tonight. A Palestinian source confirmed that the transfer would take place “without a public gathering.”
Meanwhile, the Prisoners’ Media Office reported that preparations were underway at the European Hospital in Khan Younis to receive Palestinian prisoners whose release had been delayed since Saturday. Their arrival is expected between 10 PM and midnight.
Hamas spokesman Abdul Latif al-Qanoua stated that the release of the seventh batch of prisoners would occur alongside the handover of the Israeli bodies under a new mechanism ensuring Israel’s compliance. He emphasized that Egyptian mediators had guaranteed the process.
He also noted that Hamas had not received any proposal regarding the second phase of the Gaza agreement but reaffirmed the movement’s readiness and seriousness in proceeding with it.
Israel had previously delayed the release of Palestinian prisoners, accusing Hamas of staging “humiliating military parades” of Israeli captives during previous handovers.
