The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor has condemned Israel’s execution of 15 medical and humanitarian workers in Rafah as an unprecedented war crime demanding immediate accountability.
Testimonies confirm that Israeli forces executed the victims in the field, buried their bodies in a sand-covered pit, and destroyed their vehicles. The organisation described this as the largest mass execution of humanitarian workers in modern warfare history.
Gaza’s Ministry of Health reported that the recovered bodies had their hands tied, further proving the deliberate nature of the killings. The Palestinian Red Crescent confirmed that 14 martyrs, including paramedics, rescue workers, and a UN employee, had been missing for eight days before their bodies were retrieved.
Euro-Med Monitor called for urgent international criminal investigations and immediate action to stop the genocide in Gaza, holding Israel accountable for its crimes. It urged signatory states of the Geneva Conventions to impose sanctions on Israel and take concrete steps to protect humanitarian workers. The organisation warned that silence and inaction would only embolden further violations against civilians and aid teams.
