For over three months, the city of Tulkarm and its surrounding refugee camps have been gripped by an unrelenting Israeli military campaign. Nour Shams camp has endured 91 consecutive days of raids, and the offensive shows no signs of abating. Families are being forced from their homes, entire neighbourhoods militarised, and the humanitarian toll continues to mount by the day.
New evacuation orders have targeted residential blocks in the eastern neighbourhoods of Tulkarm, where families have been given just 24 hours to leave. Homes along Nablus Street have been seized and turned into makeshift military outposts after residents were forcibly removed. Reports from the ground detail widespread destruction—hundreds of homes flattened or damaged, vehicles burned, and personal belongings looted, leaving many with nothing to return to.
The cost in human life and dignity is staggering. At least 13 Palestinians have been killed, with scores injured or detained. More than 25,000 people have been displaced, many of them already living as refugees. Earth mounds and roadblocks have sealed off entire communities, turning Tulkarm into a city under siege. As the West Bank increasingly mirrors the devastation seen in Gaza, rights groups are warning of a deepening crisis fuelled by impunity and silence.
