Tulkarm Under Siege: 104 Days of Israeli Raids and Mass Displacement

For 104 consecutive days, the city of Tulkarm and its refugee camps in the occupied West Bank have endured relentless Israeli military raids. Nour Shams camp has faced 91 days of continuous operations, turning homes into military outposts and neighbourhoods into war zones.

Israeli forces have intensified their campaign by issuing new evacuation orders in the eastern parts of the city. Entire families, such as those in the Abu Safiya building and the Abu Aqel home, have been given just one day to leave. Soldiers continue to seize and fortify houses along Nablus Street, often forcing residents out before converting their homes into operational posts.

The toll on civilians has been severe. Thirteen Palestinians have been killed, and many others injured or detained. More than 4,200 families—over 25,000 people—have been uprooted. Entire neighbourhoods lie in ruins: over 400 homes destroyed, and thousands more damaged. Streets once bustling with life are now occupied by tanks and military vehicles. Earth mounds seal off entrances to the camps, cutting people off from food, medicine, and basic needs.

The devastation in Tulkarm mirrors the escalating military tactics seen in Gaza. Daily life has ground to a halt under the weight of displacement, destruction, and fear. Human rights groups continue to raise alarms, but for the people of Tulkarm, survival has become the only priority.
