Palestinian and international organisations have condemned a U.S. proposal for aid distribution in Gaza, accusing it of turning hunger into a weapon of war. The plan, critics say, aims to manage starvation rather than stop the violence, forcing civilians to relocate under surveillance and tight security controls.
The initiative would limit food to 1,400 calories per person and involve private security firms, facial recognition, and minimal aid flows—deepening the crisis instead of relieving it. UNRWA officials confirmed efforts to bypass the UN’s role, which have been firmly rejected.
Civil society groups denounce the plan as a cover for forced displacement and a violation of international law. It reframes Gaza’s struggle as a humanitarian issue, stripping it of its political context and erasing the Palestinian people’s rights and resistance.
The campaign calls for an immediate end to the war, the opening of all border crossings, and the full, unhindered entry of humanitarian aid. It urges the international community to reject any aid mechanisms that serve military agendas or legitimise occupation. Palestinians are not just victims in need of charity—they are a people with dignity, history, and inalienable rights. What they demand is not rationed survival, but freedom, justice, and the right to live with dignity in their own land.
