Indonesian Hospital in Gaza Crumbles Under Fire as Medics Battle to Save Lives

The director of the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza has described the situation as catastrophic, as the facility struggles to cope with the aftermath of another night of intense Israeli bombardment. The area surrounding the hospital was shelled, damaging its structure and overwhelming its already limited capacity.

Since midnight, 58 bodies and 133 wounded civilians have reached the hospital, while many more remain trapped beneath the rubble. According to medical staff, 70% of the injuries are now critical—far beyond what the hospital can manage under siege conditions.

Operating rooms and intensive care units are at full capacity. There is a severe shortage of blood, particularly rare types, and some doctors have been forced to perform transfusions between patients due to the lack of viable donations from a malnourished population.

Despite assurances that the hospital lies outside the range of Israeli operations, the surrounding bombardment and blocked main roads have made it nearly impossible for ambulances to reach the wounded in time. With 170 injured already inside and no room left, doctors fear the worst should the hospital itself be directly targeted.
