The number of makeshift tents sheltering displaced Palestinians in Khan Younis has tripled in just one week, as Israel’s relentless bombardment forces thousands more families to flee. Amund Baselrud, Emergency Coordinator for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) in Gaza, reported that most patients treated by the organisation are victims of Israeli airstrikes, with children increasingly showing signs of severe malnutrition.
For 600 days, Israel’s brutal military campaign has ravaged Gaza, systematically targeting civilians and displacing over a million people. Since 2 March, the closure of border crossings has blocked vital food and aid, deepening famine conditions. MSF warns that starvation is crippling survivors’ recovery, with the wounded left without sustenance to heal.
As Israel’s siege tightens, Gaza’s humanitarian crisis spirals further into catastrophe, with no respite for those trapped under fire.
