Israeli Forces Kidnap and Deport Palestinian Detainee after his Release

The Israeli authorities released Sultan Rabah Abu al-Hummus (26 years), after they kidnapped him at the gate of "Negev" jail at the moment of his release on Sunday, after serving a 7-year sentence, on the condition that to be expelled from Jerusalem for a period of five days.

The Israeli authorities freed on Sunday the Palestinian detainee Sultan Abu al-Hummus, from the town of Al-Issawiya, northeast of Jerusalem, after spending 7 years in Israeli jails.

However, the authorities kidnapped Abu al-Hummus at the gate of the "Negev" jail since he was freed from the jail. They released him on the condition of deportation from the city of Jerusalem.

Commenting on that, the head of the Committee of Jerusalem Detainees' Families, Amjad Abu Asab, stated that the authorities transferred Abu Al-Hummus to the "Al-Maskubiya" investigation center, and after several hours, they released him with the proviso that he will be deported from Jerusalem for five days.

Last week, the Israeli forces summoned his father twice, to inform him of not organizing gatherings or holding any celebration in his home after his son's release.

They stormed his house yesterday again and informed his family of the conditions.

Abu Al-Hummus was detained on 7/20/2013; the Israeli court convicted him of membership in the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and his participation in several activities. During that period, the Israeli forces moved him between several jails.
