Before dawn, Israeli forces launched sweeping raids across cities and villages in the West Bank and Jerusalem, tearing through homes, detaining residents, and leaving behind trails of destruction. From Hebron to Tulkarm, no area was spared. Families awoke to the sound of armoured vehicles and gunfire, with arrests carried out in neighbourhoods, refugee camps, and rural towns alike. Religious figures and former prisoners were among those taken, deepening the climate of fear across the occupied land.
In Ramallah’s Al-Mughayir village, a home was set ablaze after being stormed, reducing belongings to ash and leaving families in despair. Nablus endured simultaneous incursions into its refugee camps, sparking violent confrontations. In Jenin district, clashes erupted as residents resisted, with reports of injuries. The raids were not confined to the north; Bethlehem, Tulkarm, and surrounding towns all faced night-time intrusions, while in Jerusalem schoolchildren were forced to flee clouds of tear gas fired near Qalandiya camp.
This surge in arrests and attacks forms part of an escalating campaign designed to break the resilience of entire communities. Houses are burned, doors smashed, and families torn apart, yet resistance continues. For many, the message is clear: these raids are not isolated incidents but a calculated effort to suffocate daily life and impose fear. Recognition of this reality underscores the urgency of accountability, for each new arrest and each home reduced to rubble adds to the burden of a people already enduring decades of dispossession.
