A series of overnight strikes across the Gaza Strip claimed the lives of at least ten people on Sunday, with many others wounded, as residents described another night marked by fear, destruction and loss. The latest deaths come amid continued breaches of a ceasefire announced months ago, deepening concerns that even periods of supposed calm offer little protection to civilians.
In northern areas, four people were killed when a strike hit a tent sheltering displaced families in the Al-Faluja district. Further south, six others lost their lives after a tent near the Turkish slaughterhouse area west of Khan Younis was struck. Emergency teams confirmed that the fatalities were split between the north and the south, as makeshift shelters once again proved no refuge from the violence of the genocidal war.
Beyond the loss of life, large-scale destruction continued throughout the territory. Powerful explosions were reported near Al-Rad’i Street in Beit Lahia, alongside further demolitions in the Sheikh Zayed area. In the south, armoured vehicles advanced with heavy fire towards eastern parts of Khan Younis, while artillery shells landed near communities east of the Al-Bureij refugee camp. Local officials said these actions represent further violations of the ceasefire that came into effect last October, as the civilian population continues to bear the brunt of a war that shows no sign of restraint.
