Jenin-Jenin movie... War criminals are awarded

Israeli central court, in Lod, issued a decision on Monday to prevent the showing of Jenin-Jenin movie which tells the story of Israel’s invasion to Jenin camp in 2002.

The decision came after chasing its producer, Mohammed Bakri, for more than 19 years.

The court decided to fine Al-Bakri as a result of a civil call filed by the Israeli army in order to scandal him,” Hussain Abo Hussain, Al-Bakri’s lawyer said.

The army’s call came after the appearance of a military leader in the movie for about 20 seconds. He was one of the leaders who committed brutal crimes against the camp’s people during the invasion.

The lawyer informed that the court fined Al-Bakri with 225,000 NIS, and decided to seize all the movie’s copies available in the market.

The movie was published in occupied Palestinian territories, West bank, local and global channels, and on internet.

He can resume the central decision issued by the court in 45 days, considering the decision as a part of the political chases following him during the past years,” the lawyer said.

He emphasizes on that he did nothing but transferring the stories of the invasion’s victims to the world.

Jenin massacre is the name called on the invasion the Israeli army committed in Jenin (1-11 April 2002), which caused the death of 58 Palestinians.
