SAFA – A 38-year-old Palestinian man, Mohammed Eslim, has died from injuries he sustained in a recent Israeli airstrike targeting an area south of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.
Medical sources in Gaza said Eslim succumbed to wounds he suffered after Israeli warplanes struck the city of Deir al-Balah earlier on Sunday.
According to Palestinian sources, Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip have continued despite the ceasefire agreement, including airstrikes, demolition operations, gunfire, and attacks on various areas across the enclave.
The Gaza Ministry of Health said that Israeli violations since the ceasefire came into effect have resulted in the killing of 1,203 people and injuries to 3,900 others.
According to the ministry, since the start of the Gaza genocide on 7 October 2023, the cumulative death toll has risen to 73,329, while the total number of people injured has reached 174,009.
