Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs declared today the opening of the Israeli Embassy in Abu Dhabi, UAE’s capital.
“The Israeli Embassy has been officially opened today in Abu Dhabi with the arrival of Eitan Na’eh, head of Israel’s mission to the UAE, to the capital of the United Arab Emirates,” the ministry said.
It added, “the Israeli Embassy in the UAE will strengthen the relations between the two countries, and widen the relations with the UAE government, economic commissions, private sections, and media.”
“I wish Eitan Na’eh and the Embassy’s staff luck and success in their first steps in UAE,” Gabi Ashkenazi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, said.
He added, “Opening the Embassy will widen the bilateral relations between Israel and UAE. I thank Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and my friend Abdallah Bin Zayed for their generosity towards us.”
The Ministry mentioned that it is expected to open an Israeli contact office in Rabat, and General Council of Israel in Dubai in the coming days.
The Israeli Embassy started achieving its works for a couple of weeks in Bahrain.
This announcement came after UAE cabinet’s approval of establishing a UAE Embassy in Tel Aviv.
These developments conducted within the framework of the agreement of normalizing relations between UAE and Israel signed on September 15th 2020 in the White House.
