The representative of the United States of America to the Security Council, Richard Mills, said, on Tuesday, that Washington will continue to urge other countries to conclude peace agreements with Israel and we will restore relations with the Palestinian leadership and people.

He added today in a speech during the Security Council session that President Joe Biden intends to restore the support to the Palestinians and move to reopen diplomatic missions that were closed by the administration of former President Trump.

"The two-state solution must be preserved and we support any solution agreed upon by the two sides," he said.

Besides, he indicated that Washington will urge the Israeli government and the Palestinian Authority to avoid unilateral steps such as Israeli settlement activity, annexation steps in the West Bank, demolitions of Palestinian homes, and the prevention of prisoners' payments.
