The Palestinian Media Forum condemned with great concern the Israeli forces 'firing on journalists while performing their professional duty to convey the truth, in Aqraba in Nablus, where citizens' homes were raided.

A statement by the Forum said on Wednesday that this crime committed by Israel is added to the record of its crimes, with which it used to target Palestinian and foreign journalists to obscure the truth and try to silence them by practicing terrorism against them, threatening their lives, confiscating their equipment, and targeting their headquartersز

The forum renewed its demand for the Palestinian Authority to take real measures to hold Israel accountable for its crimes against journalists.

The Forum also called on the International Federation of Journalists and the General Union of Arab Journalists to work to hold Israel accountable in international forums.

Besides, this crime reminds us of the urgent need to reactivate and correct the status of the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate through free and fair elections, to be able to confront such a crime.
