Palestinian prisoner starts hunger strike

Prisoner Ghadanfar Abu Atwan, 28, from the city of Hebron in the occupied West Bank, announced his open hunger strike, rejecting his administrative detention, as he is in Raymond prison.

The prisoner club said in a statement last Thursday that the prisoner Abu Atwan has been detained since October 2020, and he is a former prisoner who has been arrested several times since 2013. In 2019, he went on a hunger strike to reject his administrative detention.

The Club pointed out that the number of striking prisoners rises to three, as the prisoner Imad Swarka continues his strike for the 50th day, refusing his administrative detention, and the journalist prisoner Alaa Al-Rimawi continues his strike for the 16th day in a row.
