The Islamic Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas has confirmed that Sheikh Yassin gathering based in France has no links to the movement.

The movement has asserted in a statement, a copy of which obtained by SAFA, that the head of the gathering Abdelhakim Assafrayouri doesn’t have any relationship with Hamas.

Thus, it condemns any attempt to defame the movement by mentioning its name in domestic battles that it has no tiny relation with.

"We emphasize that our struggle for freedom and independence is only against the Israeli occupation," added the movement.

France's President Emmanuel Macron pledged to intensify efforts against what he called "radical Islam" after the French teacher Samuel Bate was beheaded, announcing the dissolution of Sheikh Yassin gathering, which he claimed that it has a relation with Hamas and directly involved in the attack.
