Occupation begins implementing a Judaization project inside Ibrahimi Mosque

The Israeli occupation bulldozers on Tuesday began implementing a Judaization project inside the Ibrahimi Mosque in the city of Hebron in the south of the occupied West Bank to facilitate settlers' incursions.

The director of the Ibrahimi Mosque, Hefzy Abu Sneina, told Safa that the bulldozers of the occupation began in the early morning to bulldoze near the outer courtyards of the mosque to implement a project to build an elevator for settlers without informing the Hebron Endowments.

He added that the Judaizing elevator project was put forward by the occupation a long time ago and there were several attempts by the Hebron Municipality and the Reconstruction Committee to file a lawsuit against the decision of the occupation authorities, but all of which were rejected.

He pointed to the seriousness of the project because of its encroachment and change of the mosque's historical and Islamic features and what it reflects of the arrogance of the occupation and its attempt to extend its complete control over the mosque.

The national and Islamic forces in Hebron appealed to the people of the city and the governorate to mobilize the public towards the Ibrahimi Mosque and to be present in it to thwart the Israeli plan.

The forces called for a sit-in inside the mosque and the establishment of all prayers there.
