Prisoners Committee: a catheterization operation for Palestinian detainee in Soroka

The Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Committee said on Sunday that the prisoner Ahmed Abu Jaber, 61, from the town of Kafr Qassem in the occupied territories in 1984 underwent a catheterization operation yesterday at Soroka Medical Centre as a result of a deterioration in his health condition.

The Detainees Committee held the occupation government fully responsible for the life of the prisoner Abu Jaber, calling on all international institutions to stand by the detainees, especially the sick, until their freedom is taken away.

The detainee Abu Jaber was arrested by the Israeli occupation forces in 1986 and is sentenced to life imprisonment. He is an old prisoner, married and has three children.
