Israeli occupation renews administrative detention of two Jerusalemite prisoners for the second time

The Israeli occupation authorities on Tuesday morning renewed the administrative detention of the two Jerusalemite prisoners, Anan Naguib and Mahmoud Jaber, for four months.

Head of the Jerusalem Prisoners’ Families Committee, Amjad Abu Asab, explained that the occupation authorities extended the administrative detention of the two prisoners, Najib from the town of Beit Hanina, and Jaber from the Shuafat camp, for the second time in a row, hours before their release.

He described the extension of the two prisoners' detention as an unjust measure, pointing out that they are currently in the Negev desert prison.

The occupation forces arrested the prisoner Najib on June 10, after storming the town of Al-Eizariya, east of Jerusalem, where he is staying during his deportation from the city. Then, he was transferred to the Al-Maskobiya center for interrogation, after which he was transferred to administrative detention for four months

Najib has previously been arrested and effectively imprisoned, and has been deported from Jerusalem, the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Old City many times.
