The Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission stated that six Palestinian prisoners continue their open hunger strike in the Israeli prisons in rejection of their administrative detention.
The hunger-striking prisoners are Kayed Al-Fasfous, who has been on hunger hunger strike for 116 days, Meqdad Al-Qawasmah; 109 days, Alaa Al-Araj; 92 days, Hesham Abu Hawwash; 82 days, Loay Al-Ashqar; 28 days, Ayyad Al-Harimi; 46 days, and Rateb Huraibat; 30 days.
The commission confirmed that those prisoners suffer from very hard health situations. They suffer from shortage in liquids and vitamins, irregular heartbeats, and exhaustion. It also warned that Al-Qawasma and Al-Fasfous might die at any time as the occupation refuses to release them.
Within the same context, prisoners’ institutes and Islamic, national forces organized a walk in Ramallah in solidarity with the hunger-striking prisoners, where dozens of citizens took part.
Qaddoura Fares, the chief of the Prisoner’s Club, blamed the international society for not intervening to stop the Israeli occupation’s violations, and to force it to release the prisoners.
