Salah Abdulati has strongly condemned the Israeli occupation's continued attacks on civilian security personnel tasked with securing aid in Gaza. He highlighted that these attacks are part of a broader strategy to sow chaos within the strip and disrupt the delivery of essential humanitarian assistance. Abdulati described the actions as war crimes, with the aim of exacerbating the suffering of Palestinian families in Gaza.
Abdulati accused Israel of blaming Palestinians for looting aid, despite its protection of criminal groups operating near Israeli tanks. At the same time, Israeli forces have been targeting Palestinian police officers and other civilians who are working to ensure aid security. These attacks, Abdulati argued, are deliberately causing famine and pushing Gaza’s population towards further destruction.
The Palestinian official emphasized that such actions amount to crimes against humanity, particularly the crime of starvation, which he believes constitutes part of an ongoing genocide. He called on international organisations to urgently establish humanitarian corridors and allow the free flow of aid into Gaza, noting that only 6% of the required goods and aid are currently allowed by Israel.
Abdulati further noted that the Israeli occupation's actions are aimed at spreading lawlessness in Gaza, deepening the famine, and rendering the region uninhabitable. This is part of a strategy to force Palestinians to leave their homes. His statement follows a recent Israeli airstrike that killed 15 Palestinians and injured others, further intensifying the crisis and undermining the efforts of aid security personnel.
