Four Palestinians, including two who succumbed to earlier injuries, were killed on Sunday as Israeli airstrikes and drone attacks persisted across the Gaza Strip. Among the victims was Ahmad Abu Rawah, who died from wounds sustained in a drone strike on a vehicle in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza, on Saturday. In Juhor al-Dik, 62-year-old Faiz Al-Tawil was also killed in a similar attack.
In central Gaza, Nada Issa, a young woman, passed away after her home in the Nuseirat refugee camp was bombed. Her death follows the earlier loss of her father, Dr. Salah Issa, and her brother, both of whom were killed in previous Israeli attacks. Emergency teams also recovered the body of another victim from Juhor al-Dik, where Israeli drones have repeatedly targeted civilians.
Meanwhile, in the Al-Shakoush area, northwest of Rafah, displaced families faced intense gunfire and sound bombs near their tents, exacerbating the already dire humanitarian situation. Further east, Israeli tanks unleashed heavy fire near Al-Qarara, northeast of Khan Younis, while also targeting the Salah al-Din axis and areas around Abasan al-Kabira and Abasan al-Jadida.
These actions mark a continued violation of the ceasefire agreement that has been in place since January 19. The Palestinian Government Media Office has condemned the recent escalation, reporting that over 150 unarmed civilians, including children, have been killed since the ceasefire began. Many of these victims were simply gathering firewood or inspecting their homes when they were targeted.
The ongoing violence underscores the devastating toll on Palestinian lives and the urgent need for international intervention to hold Israel accountable for its actions. As the world watches, Gaza’s civilians remain trapped in a cycle of violence and loss, with no end in sight.
