Israeli forces have escalated their offensive on Rafah, trapping more than 50,000 Palestinians in Tal al-Sultan without access to food, water, or medical aid. With relentless airstrikes and artillery fire, civilians find themselves caught between bombardment and an uncertain fate.

Occupation forces set up security checkpoints on evacuation routes after ordering residents to flee, only to open fire on those attempting to escape. Eyewitnesses described harrowing scenes of bodies lying in the streets, with families forced to bury their loved ones in makeshift graves out of fear they would be left to decay.

Medical teams have been repeatedly targeted, with Israeli forces preventing ambulances from reaching the wounded. Dr. Marwan Al-Hams, head of field hospitals in Gaza, confirmed that four ambulances from the Palestinian Red Crescent were sent into Tal al-Sultan, but contact was lost after Israeli forces declared the area a "combat zone." The health system has completely collapsed, leaving the injured with little hope of treatment.

With homes reduced to rubble, thousands of displaced Palestinians are once again on the move, carrying only what they can as they search for safety. Israeli drones hover overhead, terrorising those still in their homes, while continuous shelling leaves little chance of survival.

The General Directorate of Civil Defence in Gaza has warned of an imminent catastrophe, as tens of thousands remain besieged without basic necessities. The assault on Rafah comes despite a ceasefire agreement that had briefly paused the destruction, only to be shattered as Israel resumes its devastating war on Gaza.
