Zionist Groups Use AI to Target Pro-Palestinian Activists in the US

Zionist organisations in the United States are deploying artificial intelligence-driven surveillance tools to identify and target pro-Palestinian activists, exposing them to federal scrutiny and potential deportation. A recent investigation by the Associated Press (AP) has uncovered that these groups are using facial recognition technology to compile lists of demonstrators, particularly international students, and report them to US authorities.

One such tool, NesherAI, was developed by New York-based software engineer Eliyahu Hawila and provided to the pro-Israel organisation Betar US. This technology is being used to unmask protesters and facilitate federal action against them, effectively outsourcing state surveillance to private Zionist entities.

The crackdown on pro-Palestinian activism has intensified under Donald Trump's administration. Upon his return to office, Trump issued an executive order calling for the expulsion of foreign students involved in protests against US complicity in Israel’s genocidal assault on Gaza. The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Department of Homeland Security have since ramped up efforts to track, detain, and deport students who participate in demonstrations.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio recently boasted that the administration was actively revoking visas of pro-Palestinian students, estimating that over 300 individuals had already been targeted. The administration has also threatened to penalise universities allowing such protests by restricting their ability to enrol international students.

Leaked messages from a private online group frequented by Israelis in New York further illustrate the coordinated effort to suppress Palestinian solidarity movements. One message, written in Hebrew, urged members to report international students at Columbia University and other institutions who had attended protests, providing a direct link to ICE’s tip-off hotline.

The weaponisation of AI and state power against activists reflects a broader effort to criminalise Palestinian solidarity, exposing the extent to which US institutions enable Zionist surveillance and repression.
