Massacre in Jabalia: 22 Killed, Including 16 Children, in Israeli Strike on UN Clinic

Palestinians are mourning the victims of yet another brutal Israeli airstrike, this time targeting a United Nations-run clinic sheltering displaced families in Jabalia refugee camp. The Government Media Office in Gaza confirmed that at least 22 civilians were killed in the strike, including 16 children, along with women and the elderly. Dozens more were injured, many critically.

The bombed facility belonged to UNRWA and had been serving as a temporary refuge for families forced from their homes amid the ongoing Israeli aggression. The clinic was clearly marked and known to be operating under a UN mandate, making the attack, according to Palestinian officials, a direct and deliberate violation of international law.

“This was not a mistake. It was a targeted strike against a known humanitarian facility,” said a spokesperson for the media office. “Israel has now attacked more than 220 displacement shelters. The international community must no longer remain silent in the face of such war crimes.”

Eyewitnesses described scenes of devastation, with children pulled lifeless from beneath the rubble and families screaming in anguish. Rescue workers, already stretched beyond capacity, worked into the night to recover bodies and assist the wounded.

“We heard the explosion, then screams. When we arrived, it was chaos — blood, dust, and children’s toys scattered across the floor,” said one medic on the scene.

Palestinian authorities in Gaza are calling for immediate international accountability and have renewed demands for the United Nations and the International Criminal Court to take urgent action against Israeli leaders for what they describe as acts of genocide.

“This is not just a war. This is an attempt to erase our people, our children, and our future,” the Government Media Office stated. “If the world continues to watch without action, it is complicit.”

UNRWA has also expressed outrage, noting that its facilities have repeatedly been targeted despite sharing coordinates with Israeli forces. The agency warned that nowhere in Gaza is safe, and that international protection for civilians is urgently needed.

As Gaza endures one of the darkest chapters in its history, the call from the ground is clear: the killing must stop, and justice must be pursued.
