The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) has reported the largest wave of displacement in the West Bank since the 1967 Six-Day War, triggered by extensive Israeli military operations that began on January 21.
UNRWA highlighted that these attacks have resulted in systematic destruction and forced displacements, particularly affecting families in Jenin and surrounding areas. A joint report by Yesh Din and Physicians for Human Rights-Israel noted that over 1,000 Palestinians have been forcibly removed from their homes since January, with accusations of ethnic cleansing in some regions.
Additionally, the Palestinian Prisoners' Club revealed that more than 100 Palestinians were arrested last week, including women and children, amid intensified crackdowns in various areas, particularly refugee camps.
These actions, deemed collective punishment, have contributed to over 944 Palestinian deaths and thousands of injuries since the outbreak of the Gaza conflict. In July 2024, the International Court of Justice declared Israel's occupation illegal, calling for the evacuation of settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
