Cease‑Fire Commitment Amid Relentless Violations

The resistance movement has reaffirmed its unwavering support for the truce in the Gaza Strip, warning that the repeated breaches by the opposing forces jeopardise the fragile accord. In a statement, a senior representative declared that the cease‑fire was intended to end the mass killings of civilians: yet more than 240 deaths have been recorded since its inception.

Access to humanitarian aid remains severely restricted, according to that source, with only 150 to 200 truckloads allowed in each day, well below the 600 originally stipulated. Meanwhile clinics and hospitals report acute shortages of medications and basic supplies, as the blockade continues unabated. The movement urged the international community to pressure for the reopening of the Rafah crossing to alleviate what it described as a man‑made starvation regime.

The current truce entered into effect on 10 October, yet forces have remained positioned along the so‑called “yellow line” and reserve the right to lethal response for any “perceived threat”. Critics argue this arrangement effectively turns the cessation into a cover for sustained genocidal‑war practices, as combat operations persist under new forms and civilians continue to perish.
