Civilian Toll Mounts as the Genocidal War Spreads Beyond Gaza

As the genocidal war continues to devastate Gaza, similar scenes of destruction are emerging across parts of southern Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley, where recent airstrikes have struck residential areas. In the town of Jibshit, six civilians were killed, including four members of the same family, when homes were hit during overnight bombardment. In nearby Nabi Sheet, further strikes left dozens dead and many more wounded, deepening fears among residents that the violence engulfing Gaza is steadily expanding across the region.

Residents and local observers describe a pattern in which densely populated neighbourhoods are subjected to overwhelming firepower while military movements unfold nearby. Entire streets have been reduced to rubble, with families buried beneath collapsed buildings and emergency teams struggling to reach survivors. The devastation mirrors the destruction repeatedly witnessed during the genocidal war in Gaza, where residential districts have been transformed into fields of ruins.

Across affected communities, the consequences for civilians have been severe. Women, children and elderly residents remain among the most vulnerable as homes, infrastructure and essential services are destroyed. For many families, displacement has become inevitable as they flee damaged neighbourhoods in search of safety, only to find uncertainty and fear awaiting them elsewhere.

Observers and activists warn that the widening scope of the genocidal war risks further destabilising the region and increasing the humanitarian catastrophe already unfolding. Calls are growing louder for international accountability mechanisms and stronger enforcement of legal protections meant to safeguard civilians living under occupation and in areas of active warfare.
