A woman has died from injuries sustained earlier this week in the south of Gaza Strip, as renewed fire struck areas sheltering displaced civilians and intensified pressure across multiple zones. Her death comes amid what residents describe as an ongoing genocidal war, despite the existence of a nominal ceasefire.
The victim, Sabah al-Amour, succumbed to her wounds after being shot near Khan Younis. At the same time, naval fire targeted makeshift tents along the coastal area of al-Mawasi, where displaced families have sought refuge. Two people were reportedly injured in the latest incident, highlighting the continued vulnerability of civilians living in fragile conditions.
Across the territory, artillery shelling and tank fire were reported from the early hours of the morning, particularly in eastern areas near Gaza City and Jabalia. Witnesses described intermittent yet sustained bombardment, contributing to an atmosphere of persistent fear and uncertainty. The coastline of Rafah was also struck by naval gunfire, while central areas such as Al-Bureij came under heavy fire from military vehicles.
These developments follow repeated breaches of the ceasefire arrangement, with local estimates suggesting that more than 700 people have been killed since it came into effect. For many residents, the distinction between declared pauses and ongoing violence has become increasingly blurred, as the genocidal war continues to shape daily life.
