A series of settler attacks were reported across the occupied West Bank on Tuesday, with residents facing property damage, injuries and growing pressure on agricultural communities amid continued settlement expansion.
In the village of Umm Safa, northwest of Ramallah, settlers allegedly set fire to two vehicles during a pre-dawn raid and sprayed racist graffiti on homes and buildings. Local residents said the attackers entered the village shortly after midnight, torching vehicles belonging to the head of the village council and another resident before leaving the area. The incident comes amid a broader rise in attacks targeting Palestinian towns and villages, including arson, vandalism and assaults on residents.
Further north, in areas surrounding Duma and al-Sawiya south of Nablus, settlers were reported to have entered agricultural land with cattle, raising concerns among farmers over damage to crops and grazing areas. In al-Sawiya, fires reportedly ignited by settlers destroyed sections of wheat fields and olive groves. Residents managed to contain the blaze before it spread further, but local officials said significant agricultural losses had already occurred.
In the Hebron governorate, a woman was injured after being struck in the head by a stone during an attack on Palestinian vehicles along a road north of the city. Several cars were also damaged. Elsewhere in the area, settlers, accompanied by Israeli forces, entered agricultural land near Beit Ummar, while rights groups reported ongoing land-clearing operations and road construction around a settlement outpost near Sa'ir. Similar incidents were also reported east of Ramallah, where livestock were released onto privately owned farmland, causing damage to crops and property. Residents said settlers also filmed local activists and attempted to provoke confrontations during the intrusion.
