Palestinian-American appointed in US National Security Council

An American of Palestinian origin, Maher Al-Bitar was appointed as director of the intelligence service in the US National Security Council.

American Media reported that Al-Bitar, who served as general counsel to Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee, will be part of the National Security Council leadership in President Joe Biden's administration.

He also worked as the director of Israeli-Palestinian affairs on the National Security Council under former president Barack Obama.

It is noteworthy that Reema Dodin, was appointed as Deputy Director of the White House Office of Legislative Affairs.
