The International Academic Campaign Against the Occupation and the Annexation Plan called, Thursday in a statement, the international community to carry out its duties towards protecting the educational process that is exposed to the daily violations of the Israeli policies.

It called on international organizations to impose sanctions on the Israeli government for its continuing threat to the educational environment in Palestine.

It also called for an end to the Israeli attacks on Palestinian schools and universities, and to hold the perpetrators to account.

In addition, it demanded the Palestinian universities, academics and civil society organizations to revive the International Day to Protect Education from Attack under the slogan "Occupation and annexation are two threats to the educational process in occupied Palestine" by various available methods.

The International Academic Campaign affirmed that the continuation of the occupation is the main threat to the process of education in the Palestinian territories, and that exposes the education process, especially the West Bank and Jerusalem, to real threats resulting from Israeli policies.
