Israeli forces detain nine Palestinians across West Bank


Israeli forces Thursday at dawn detained nine Palestinians from various parts across the West Bank.

Local sources reported that Israeli forces raided Bethlehem city and detained Mohammad al-Khatib, whose brother, Dawood, died of a heart attack in the Israeli jail on September 2, 2020, in order to force his brother, Moaid, to turn himself to Israeli intelligence.

In Marah Rabah village, south of Bethlehem, Israeli forces rounded up two others, identified as Anwer Faqih (40) and Khalil Shiekh (42), after raiding their homes.

The sources also confirmed that an Israeli military force raided Beit Sahour city, west of Bethlehem city, and detained Tariq 'Abiat (38).

In Hebron district, the sources reported a military raid in Dura town, south of Hebron city, resulting in the re-arrest of a former detainee, identified as Hesham Abu Hawash (39).

Meanwhile, a similar military raid was confirmed in Jenin, resulting in the detention of three others after storming their families’ houses in the city.

In Jerusalem city, Israeli police rounded up another Palestinian.
