Occupation extends Jerusalemite’s trial, releases another with a fine

The Israeli occupation court on Wednesday extended the trial of a young Jerusalemite from Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem and decided to release another from the town of Al-Isawiya.

The Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood committee stated that the Magistrate's Court decided, during a session held via the Zoom app this morning, to extend the trial of young Murad Attia until next Monday.

The occupation forces arrested Attia yesterday, Tuesday, after raiding his house in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood and took him to an unknown destination, and prevented the lawyer from meeting him.

In addition, the occupation intelligence handed the two young men, Muhammad al-Kurd and Omar Abu Sneina, summonses for investigation while they were near the Magistrate's Court in solidarity with the young man, Attia, without any justification.

It was reported that the occupation forces expelled a journalist from the place in a barbaric manner.

This morning, the residents of the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood and the solidarity activists gathered in front of the occupation court, in solidarity with the young man, Attia.

This solidarity comes after calls by the people of Sheikh Jarrah to support the young man, Attia, and to stand peacefully before the occupation court coinciding with his trial.

The committee pointed out that the young man, Attia, was arrested from his home to an unknown destination and after waiting and searching for long hours and a delay in his visit, his family was informed that he was in the Al-Maskobiya investigation center and that he would be presented to the court this morning.

In a related context, the occupation authorities decided today to release the young man, Anwar Obaid, on bail of 4,000 shekels, while the decision to deport him from Jerusalem, which was issued last April, remains, knowing that he was arrested a week ago, during his engagement party in the town of Issawiya.
