ICSPR: Israeli occupation's targeting of civilian protesters in Palestine is war crime

The International Commission to Support Palestinian Rights (ICSPR) confirmed that the Israeli occupation deliberate killing of the peaceful protesters is a war crime, according to the Rome Statue of the International Criminal Court.

The ICSPR condemned on Saturday the Israeli occupation military's crime committed in Gaza, as they killed dozens of Palestinian civilians participated in a peaceful protest to commemorate the Al-Aqsa Mosque holocaust in Malaka camp in the east of the city.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the Israeli occupation crimes committed against the peaceful protesters on Saturday (Aug 21, 2021) resulted in 41 civilians injured, including 22 children and a journalist. (two injuries are critic)

It called on the contracting parties to the 4th Geneva Convention (1949) to commit to their duties and responsibilities mentioned in Article 1, where it guarantees to respect the convention, as well as those mentioned in Article 146 in which it guarantees that it will chase the those who commit serious violations of the convention.

It also re-urged the Palestinian leadership to activate its diplomacy, including internationalizing the Israeli occupation crimes, exposing them, and holding the Israeli perpetrators accountable for those crimes.
