Israeli occupation renews administrative detention of Jerusalemite detainee

The Israeli occupation authorities renewed the administrative detention of the Jerusalemite detainee, Rashid Darwish, for the second time in a row for an additional two months.

The head of the Jerusalem Prisoners’ Families Committee, Amjad Abu Asab, stated that the occupation authorities renewed the administration of the prisoner Darwish one day before his release after spending 3 months in the Israeli jails.

The occupation forces arrested Darwish on May 25, 2021, after raiding his house in the town of Al-Isawiya, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, and transferred him to interrogation at the Al-Maskobiya center and days later issued an administrative detention order against him without charge for a period of 3 months.

In a related context, the occupation court extended the detention of the young man, Murad Attia, from the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood until next Sunday.

Attia was arrested on August 10, and several extension sessions were held for him, and he is being interrogated in the occupation cells.
