Occupation arrests 310 Palestinians, including 33 children and 9 women

Palestine Center for Prisoners’ Studies confirmed that the Israeli occupation authorities arrested 310 Palestinian civilians, including 33 children and 9 women, in August.

In its monthly report, Palestine Center noted that one third of the cases, almost 115, were arrested in Al-Quds in August.

The report documented 8 cases of detention in the Gaza Strip;  six Palestinians were arrested as they crossed the fence along the strip. 

After hours of investigations, the Israeli occupation released and sent them back to Gaza.

The Occupation soldiers arrested 7 Palestinian journalists on the back of covering the Israeli attacks against the citizens and their belongings in Yatta, south of Al-Khalil. After two days of investigations, they released them. 

Riyad Al-Ashqar, the head of Palestine Center for Prisoners’ Studies, informed that the center documented 9 women arrested, including the wife of the prisoner Malek Fashafsheh, from Jenin, and the wife of Salim Rajoub, from Al-Khalil. 

According to the center, the Israeli occupation arrested 33 minor children, the youngest were Mahmoud Abo Jumaa and Mohammed khweis, who are less than 11.

Al-Ashqar noted that 6 prisoners continue their hunger strike, in protest of the administrative detention policy imposed on them.
