Israeli occupation releases a Jerusalemite prisoner and his father and extend another detention

The Israeli occupation authorities on Wednesday decided to release the prisoner Omar Muhammad Obaid and his father from the town of Al-Isawiya, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, on conditions.

According to the Wadi Hilweh Information Center, the occupation authorities decided to release the prisoner, Obeid and his father, on the condition that no celebration be held on the occasion of his release. In addition to a bond of 50,000 shekels was signed for each of them in case of violating the condition of release.

The prisoner, Obeid, was summoned for interrogation immediately after his release from the Negev desert prison, after completing his 6 and a half year sentence, and hours later he was released.

Eyewitnesses stated that the occupation forces stormed the town, coinciding with the arrival of the ex-priosner, Obeid, and receiving him in the town, and arrested him and his father.

In a related context, the occupation court today extended the detention of the released prisoner Medhat Al-Issawi until next Sunday, knowing that he was arrested at dawn after storming his house in Al-Isawiya.

Al-Issawi was released last July after serving his 8-year sentence. The occupation intelligence pursued him from the moment of his release by deporting him from Al-Isawiya village for several days, summoning him, and preventing him from entering the West Bank.
