The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas said that the occupation's repeated closure and desecration of the Ibrahimi Mosque in the occupied city of Hebron, under the pretext of Jewish holidays to hold Talmudic rituals in it and to prevent our Palestinian people from performing their prayers, is a blatant attack on the Palestinian holy sanctities and a shameless provocation of the feelings of Muslims.

"We call on our Palestinian people to confront and thwart the occupation's barbaric attempts and plans to Judaize the Ibrahimi Mosque and falsify the history and sanctities of our Palestinian people," said Abdel Latif Al-Qanou, Hamas spokesman.

"The Palestinian Authority is required to arm our Palestinian people and support the Palestinian resistance to defend the holy sites instead of pursuing and arresting fighters," Al-Qanou added.
