.Israeli Defense Minister Announces Recovery of Two Hostage Bodies from Gaza

On Wednesday, Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz announced the recovery of the bodies of two hostages who had been held in Gaza after being abducted by Hamas during the October 7, 2023 attack.

Katz extended his "condolences" to the Al-Zaidaneh family after the bodies of Yusuf and Hamza, who were abducted in the October 7 attack, were found. He stated that the recovery of their remains was the result of an operation carried out by Israeli forces.

In a statement, Katz said, "I was in contact with the family during their most difficult times, accompanying Ali, Yusuf's brother and Hamza's uncle, in several international meetings to share their story with world leaders."

Pressure has mounted on the Israeli government in recent weeks to secure an agreement ensuring the release of hostages held in Gaza.
