The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has stated that the legacy of the Qassam Brigades martyrs will guide the path of the Resistance against Israel.

In a message on 31 January, the IRGC expressed condolences for the martyrdom of Qassam Brigades leader Mohammed Deif and other commanders in their fight against Israel. The IRGC emphasised that their sacrifice would inspire ongoing resistance until the liberation of Jerusalem and the elimination of Israel, described as a "cancerous tumour."

Deif, known for surviving multiple assassination attempts, had a crucial role in military operations against the Israeli regime. The IRGC praised him and other martyrs as "stars of Palestinian Resistance" whose names instill fear in Zionist criminals.

The IRGC affirmed continued support from Muslim nations in the fight against Israel. Although Deif's death had been reported previously, Hamas' announcement confirmed it for the first time.
